About Lucero & Gonzalez Landscaping in CT, Connecticut

Late October on the East Haven shoreline, when the last mowing of the year gives way to leaf removal and the plow blades come down off the wall — that hinge is where this crew lives. Lucero & Gonzalez Landscaping works the whole arc of the calendar here between Lake Saltonstall's wooded ridge and the salt air off Cosey Beach: lawn maintenance and irrigation through the green months, tree trimming and stone removal, then masonry, concrete, patios, sidewalks, driveways and wood fence when a yard is ready to be rebuilt from the ground up. There is a real pleasure in what the work leaves behind — a patio set true on shoreline ground, a fence line that follows the slope without arguing with it, a driveway scraped clean and gray before the first commuter turns onto Main Street. Come winter, the same hands that shaped the beds are out ahead of the light, pushing snow off residential and commercial properties so the town can get where it's going. Spring finds the edges crisp again, and the whole thing begins another turn.
