About Joe's Lawn Care, LLC

Along the Sound, the turn from high summer into fall shows itself first in the grass — growth slowing, dew holding past nine, the salt air off Cosey Beach cooling the mornings — and the work turns with it, from steady mowing to hedges squared off and the season's litter carried away. This is lawn care kept at the pace the ground asks for: cut lines laid straight across the flat yards near Momauguin, weeds lifted out of the beds, an overgrown corner cleared back into something a family can walk through again. There's a plain satisfaction in a crisp edge where turf meets walk, in a driveway washed back to its own color, in a lawn that reads as tended from the street without ever announcing why. Joe's Lawn Care, LLC works across East Haven and the neighboring shoreline and greater New Haven towns, where the trap-rock ridges above Lake Saltonstall let down into marsh grass and tidewater. A yard here has to hold its season — the August heat, the long gold of October — and the whole aim is that it does.
