About Amatos Landscaping

Cosey Beach takes its weather straight off Long Island Sound — salt on the wind, and fog that comes in low and leaves the grass beaded until nine in the morning. Amatos Landscaping mows and trims the lawns that live with that air, the small seaside yards where every square foot is visible from the street. On a late June evening the light goes copper over the water and a fresh-cut lawn smells like the entire summer at once. Trimming around fence posts and hydrangea beds is slow work, and it is the part that shows. Cleanups bracket the growing season at either end; the rest is steady and weekly, carried right up to the sand line.
