About Ray's Lawnworks & Landscaping

October comes down Burnside Avenue in one long week of copper and rust, and Ray's Lawnworks & Landscaping is out under it with a rake in hand and a plan for next spring. Landscape design and installation begins about here: tree planting while the ground is still warm, tree and shrub pruning to open a crown, flower beds and gardening laid in for the March that follows. Grass seeding fills the thin corners of an East Hartford yard where the maples took all the light through summer, and mulching and weeding keep the beds honest. When the softscape settles, the heavy work goes down — brick and paver walkways, natural stone patio work, retaining walls, a fire pit, a custom outdoor kitchen for the evenings a family wants to eat outside. Clean-ups and general maintenance carry it forward, week after week, edge after edge.
