About Wildwood Lawn Care, LLC.

Early on a Durham morning, before the fog has lifted off the Coginchaug meadows, the mowers come down off the trailer and the day's first straight line is cut into a wet lawn. Wildwood Lawn Care keeps the residential yards of this valley town — spring clean-ups that clear away winter's litter of oak leaves and broken branches, mowing through the long green weeks, core aeration and dethatching to open a tired lawn back up to air, planting, mulch installation, and rototilling for beds that want turning. There is a plain, physical pleasure in the finished view: the grass laid over in bands, the dark mulch drawn tight to the shrub line, the hayfields and trap-rock ridges standing above it all in the late light. Come winter, the work turns to snow — driveways pushed clean and a way opened out to the road while Main Street is still dark.
