The Goodwives River slides down through Darien toward the harbor, and by June the town is green all the way to the water's edge. NRG Lawn and Landscaping keeps yards along those streets on a weekly turn — mowing, trimming around beds and fence lines, edging where lawn meets brick and bluestone. Salt air and heavy shade make for particular grass, and a lawn near the Sound tells you quickly whether anyone is paying attention to it. The year opens with a cleanup and closes with leaf work, off the turf before the wet sets in. A clean cut with a clean edge, in a town that notices.
