About Kiko's Landscaping LLC

The mower makes its last turn and the whole yard leans one way, grass laid down in soft rows and the edge along the walk cut clean as a folded hem — that is the moment Kiko's Landscaping works toward on the wooded lots and Sound-side lawns of Darien. This is a lawn care and snow removal outfit that learns the ground the way locals learn the tide, tending green through long Fairfield County summers when the salt air drifts up off Long Island Sound and the old oaks throw their heavy shade. Come winter the work shifts to the dark before dawn, plow blades scraping the driveways of Noroton and Tokeneke down to bare pavement so the first car out meets clear ground. There is an honest pride in a strip of asphalt cleared while the town still sleeps, and in a stretch of lawn that keeps its color from the first thaw straight through to the last mild afternoon of fall.
