Wilson's Landscaping And Masonry

About Wilson's Landscaping And Masonry

By late June the heat pools low in the Still River valley, and Danbury's lawns stop being spring's easy green — they have to be earned, cut clean and edged to a line you can read from the sidewalk. Wilson's Landscaping and Masonry keeps those yards, and the stonework that frames them, from the brick-and-clapboard streets of the old hat city out to the lake roads and the wooded lots climbing toward the ridges. There is a plain pleasure in the finished thing: a lawn striped even, a wall set true, a property that looks tended from the mailbox in. Come October, when the hills above town turn gold and let go all at once, the same ground gets walked again, leaf by leaf, until it lies clear and squared away for whatever the winter decides to do.
