About DLR Landscaping

Seven in the morning on White Street, the brick of Danbury's old hat shops still holding the night's cool and the Still River running quiet behind the buildings, and DLR Landscaping LLC is already out; the days here run seven to nine, every day of the week. Mowing comes first, a precise and consistent cut that leaves a yard even and well-groomed all the way to the road. Then the stone work: custom-designed patios, walkways, retaining walls and decorative stone features set to sit true on uneven terrain and shed water instead of pooling it. Spring and fall bring the clean ups, leaves and debris and dead vegetation pulled out of flower beds, gutters and turf so the ground can breathe again. Tree planting is the long game, climate-appropriate saplings chosen for the site to throw shade for decades and hold soil against the runoff a Danbury hillside sends downhill. Come winter the plow goes out ahead of the morning.
