611 Lawn Care

About 611 Lawn Care

Stone walls run the edges of Colchester's dooryards, half-swallowed by maple roots, and the roads bend out past hayfields and hardwood ridges toward the Salmon River. 611 Lawn Care keeps those yards — mowing through the long green middle of a Connecticut summer, then clearing the same driveways in winter, when the ridgelines go bare and the gravel sets hard as stone. There is a plain, physical satisfaction in a lawn cut clean to the wall line, in stripes running true down a sloped yard, in a dooryard opened before the first car pulls out onto Route 85. It is unhurried work, and it leaves a place looking looked-after — here in Colchester and in the towns just over the hill.
