About Sebben's Lawn Services

Come July, chamber music carries down from Music Mountain on Sunday afternoons, and the hayfields along the Blackberry River lie cut into long pale rows. Lawn work in Canaan runs on the same calendar — mowing and trimming through the growing weeks, edges kept sharp, beds mulched, the yard raked out clean in spring and again once the leaves drop. The northwest corner grows grass fast in a wet June and slow in a dry one, which is mostly a matter of paying attention. A finished lawn out here reads plainly against all that unruly green: crisp lines, clean walks, nothing left behind. It is ordinary, useful work in a town with hills on three sides and a river running through the low ground.
