About Green Acres Landscaping LLC

Late October in Canaan turns the ridges above the Housatonic the color of struck brass, and that is when the last cut of the year goes down clean across a yard already gold at its edges. Green Acres Landscaping LLC works these river-valley streets and hillside lots through the whole turning year — mowing and grounds maintenance, hedges cut true, weeds drawn back out of the beds, overgrown yards cleared down to something a family can walk again, fresh turf laid, fencing set, drives and patios washed bright. Come February, when a storm settles into the valley and fills the road before daylight, the work changes shape: plowing and snow clearing done early enough that Canaan wakes already able to leave. There is a plain, physical satisfaction in all of it — the crisp edge along a walk, a hedge line squared to the eye, a driveway dark and open while the snow keeps coming. Year after year, this corner of the Litchfield Hills holds the shape somebody took the trouble to give it.
