M & G Evergreen

About M & G Evergreen

Candlewood Lake holds the western edge of Brookfield, and in late May the water is still cold while the lawns above it have already gone extravagant — that first reckless flush of growth that makes a mower earn its living. M & G Evergreen takes the lawn-care rounds through those neighborhoods, the steady cadence of cutting and tidying that a Connecticut spring demands and then rewards. Evergreen is a fitting word for the aim: a yard that stays even, stays kept, never leaves a homeowner coming up the drive to a week they have to apologize for. Cleanups at the shoulders of the season, mowing in the long middle of it, and the ordinary pleasure of a straight edge running the length of a driveway. Brookfield's slopes are steep and its lots are green, and both are arguments for having someone whose job this is.
