Fairfield County Snow Plowing

About Fairfield County Snow Plowing

A February nor'easter comes into Bridgeport off the Sound, and by three in the morning the wet, heavy snow has erased the line between curb and street from Black Rock Harbor up to the brick blocks along the Pequonnock. That is the hour Fairfield County Snow Plowing is out in — opening driveways and lots while the harbor light is still the only thing awake, pushing the banks back off the steep North End side streets so the first car out at six finds pavement instead of guesswork. A blade leaves a clean dark line behind it, and that line holds all day. There is a plain satisfaction in a lot cleared before the city wakes to use it, and in a walkway a neighbor can step onto without thinking twice.
