About Pepperwood Landscaping

A bed edged clean in the morning, the mulch line holding its curve where lawn gives way to garden — that is the sort of result Pepperwood Landscaping works toward in Branford. Their days run from full design of an outdoor space through the long middle season of yard maintenance, coaxing perennials and seasonal color along until a young planting fills in and finally looks like it belongs there. Branford wears its geography plainly: salt air drifting up from the Sound, pink granite under the topsoil, marsh grass turning bronze behind the houses, low silver light coming in off the water. Autumn is for the clean-ups, leaves lifted off the beds and the ground put properly to rest; winter is for snow removal, a driveway opened wide before the day has started. What remains, month after month, is a property that reads as cared for from the road.
