Andy's Tree Service

About Andy's Tree Service

Main Street in South Windsor runs for miles along the Connecticut River bottom, old houses on one side and open meadow on the other, tobacco netting still catching the light out past the fields in July. Andy's Tree Service works that long ribbon and the neighborhoods back toward Wapping and the Podunk, where the soil is sandy and a big maple's roots run shallow and wide. That matters here: a tree that looks solid can be the first to go over once the ground is saturated, and knowing which one to remove before that night arrives is most of the work. Trimming and pruning keep the rest in good order — crown cleaning, clearance off the eaves, a young shade tree trained to one strong trunk instead of two arguing over the job. When summer storms sweep up the valley and lay a limb across a lawn, the truck is out early and the mess is off the grass by afternoon.
