Wintonbury was this town's first name, and something of that older Bloomfield still shows in the long front lawns and the deep shade of Filley Park on a June evening. Moorehead Lawn Services & Snowplow tends yards here through the growing season — mowing, trimming, edging, mulch, hedges and the cleanups at either end — then plows the same streets once the year turns, clearing drives and walks and salting whatever freezes behind them. The ridge keeps the cold on that side of town, so ice outlasts the storm and gets treated more than once.
