About Alvarez Masonry, Landscaping and Construction, Inc.

Snow comes to Bethel sideways, sifting across the open ground before it ever touches the trees. Alvarez Masonry, Landscaping and Construction, Inc. plows the long driveways that wander back from the road, the ones that climb and turn twice before a house appears. The work starts in the dark, headlights swinging through falling flakes, and it ends with a bare lane of blacktop and the bank pushed well off the turnaround. Walks are shoveled down to the mat, and salt goes where the grade wants to hold ice. By the time Bethel wakes up, the way out is already open.
