About Dave's Landscaping

The mower catches on the first pull, the trimmer takes the fence line, and then it comes down to hands — the slow tuck of grass along a walkway, the last blade squared to the curb. Dave's Landscaping keeps lawns in Berlin, the town that sits at Connecticut's geographic center, where the traprock shoulders of Lamentation and Ragged Mountain hold the light long into a summer evening. Mowing, trimming, edging, and seasonal cleanup make up the whole grammar of the work, repeated week over week until a yard reads as tended from the road. There's a plain satisfaction in the stripe left behind on a Kensington side street, in leaves carried off before the first hard frost, in a lawn that stands up green and unbothered beside the hum of the Turnpike.
