About Central CT Lawn Service

Morning fog pools in the low ground under Berlin's traprock ridges, and it burns off late enough that the dew still lies heavy when the first trucks roll out — which is exactly the hour a lawn tells you the truth about itself. Central CT Lawn Service reads that hour: seasonal fertilization timed to the turf's own appetite, lime to sweeten soil that central Connecticut's ledge and old farm ground have left sour, weed and insect control, grub prevention, and disease management before a thin patch becomes a bare one. Late in the year comes the satisfying part — core aeration opening the ground, drill seeding stitching new grass into the old, deep root feeding for the maples and the dooryard shrubs, dormant oil and anti-desiccant and deer repellent set against the long shade of a Connecticut winter. In summer the work turns to the edges of the evening: mosquito barrier sprays, flea and tick treatments, a perimeter line held around the foundation so a porch stays a porch. The reward is plain and physical — a yard in Berlin, Newington, Southington or Middletown that stands up thick and even to the ridge light, and holds.
