Windsor winters get argued out by the sun. A south-facing drive can be dry by lunch on a twenty-degree day while the north walk beside the same house keeps a slick gray crust for a week. Southern Exposure Landscape works both sides of that line — plowing and shoveling homes and businesses, opening entries and sidewalks, laying down de-icer where the shadow sits all day and the meltwater freezes again at four in the afternoon. When a chinook comes over the range and strips the neighborhood bare in an afternoon, the work is mostly watching; when it does not, the work is the blade, the shovel and the early alarm. Either way the aim holds: pavement a person can cross without thinking about it.
