Wellington Lawns

About Wellington Lawns

The town's yards tell you a good deal about the week it has had — a run of hot dry days shows up in the grass long before it shows up in conversation. Wellington Lawns keeps them on schedule: mowing, string trimming, edges cut clean along walks and drives, clippings carried off instead of left to yellow. June here is generous, with light until nearly nine and thunderheads piling up along the mountain front most afternoons. When the year flips, the same properties get plowed and shoveled, drives and paths opened after overnight storms leave the open ground white and blinding. It is a plain enough promise — the lawn looks right in summer, and in winter you can get out of your own driveway.
