About Elk Mountain Services

Winter in Walden arrives on the wind. North Park is a high, wide basin ringed by mountain ranges, and when snow falls here the wind lifts it right back up, carving drifts across driveways that were bare an hour before. Elk Mountain Services clears that snow in the Jackson County seat, plowing drives and lots and reopening them when the drifts creep back. Mornings well below zero are simply part of life at this elevation, and a cleared drive on one of them is no small thing. Walden calls itself the Moose Viewing Capital of Colorado, and on a bright morning after a storm you may share the street with one, breath steaming, while the last drive on the block is finished.
