Fresh Tracks Snow Removal

About Fresh Tracks Snow Removal

There is an hour in January — blue-dark, hushed, long before the first chair swings — when the whole valley lies under new snow and nobody has touched it. Fresh Tracks Snow Removal is out in that hour with the blade down, opening driveways from the Vail Pass end of town on in, so the first marks of the morning belong to a truck that came and went. Walks and stair treads get shoveled by hand, and sand or ice melt goes down where shade never lets a step dry out. Storms up here stack for days, which means coming back and back again instead of waiting for the sky to finish. By the time the coffee is on and the drive is bare to the gravel, the work has already made itself invisible, which is exactly the idea.
