About Tennant Tree Service

On the northeast plains every tree is a decision somebody made: a windbreak set out in a row, an elm planted for shade on a hot Logan County street, the carved trunks that gave Sterling its living-trees name. Tennant Tree Service tends that inheritance — pruning the old cottonwoods in the South Platte bottoms, thinning shelterbelt rows, taking the dead limbs off before a prairie gale finds them first. Removals come when a tree is finished, and the cleanup after a July hailstorm or a February blizzard is its own job: brush stacked, driveway open, nothing left standing in the yard that shouldn't be. Out here you can watch weather coming for an hour before it lands, which is a fair description of the trade itself. What stays behind is a farmyard, or a front lawn, that reads as looked-after from the road.
