At four in the morning the switchbacks up toward Wildernest are nothing but headlights and falling snow. That is when Estrada West Landscaping is out with the plow, cutting driveways open, pushing berms back off the aprons, clearing walks so the first person out the door at seven finds bare pavement waiting. Buffalo Mountain shows itself again around sunrise, and the trucks come back down the hill. Come June the same properties get the other half of the work — the grass cut, the edges run, the yard hauled clean of everything winter left behind. Two seasons, one set of hands, the same driveways either way.
