Yard Wise

About Yard Wise

Silver Cliff began as a silver boomtown in the late 1870s, and today it is known just as well for what happens after dark: the town is part of an International Dark Sky Community, and on clear nights the Milky Way arcs over the rooftops. Yard Wise works the daylight end of that bargain, mowing through long June afternoons, trimming along walks and fences, and clearing away the cuttings so a yard rests neat by the time the stars come out. There is a particular satisfaction in finishing a lawn as the light drains off the valley floor and the first planet shows in the west. Nothing about the work needs glare or fuss, just a neat, quiet yard beneath a sky kept dark on purpose.
