Summit Yardworks

About Summit Yardworks

Morning reaches Silver Cliff by way of the Sangre de Cristo Range, whose peaks across the Wet Mountain Valley go pink, then gold, before the town itself warms. Summer at nearly eight thousand feet is brief and bright, and Summit Yardworks makes the most of it, mowing, trimming and tidying yards while the grass is growing in earnest. Lawns up here contend with thin air, steady wind and cold nights, so every patch of green is hard-won against the open hay meadows of the valley. The crew leaves borders sharp and clippings gathered, so each property looks deliberate under all that sky. When the valley goes tawny in September, the last cut of the year puts the lawn to bed.
