A year in Sherrelwood really holds two different jobs, and Leo's Lawn Care L.L.C. takes both of them. Warm months: mower out by eight, lawns cut on schedule, trimmed at the posts and edged along the sidewalk until the yard looks drawn rather than merely grown. Cold months: the same streets under snow, driveways plowed open, walks shoveled clear so the mail gets through and the car gets out. Weather on this side of the range swings hard — a chinook can eat six inches by noon, or a system can sit over Adams County for two days straight. Either way somebody has to be out in it, and that is the entire point of the work.
