Summer light lasts until nearly nine out on the Weld County flats, and that long golden hour over the corn and sunflower ground is the finest time to look at a freshly cut lawn. We schedule around it — mowing, string trimming and edging so the yard is finished while the shadows are stretching and the irrigation is ticking somewhere down the row.
