Out on the St. Charles Mesa the cottonwoods let go all at once in October, and the yards underneath need somebody with a rake and some patience. Sandoval Tree Service keeps those lawns through the growing season — mowing, trimming, edging, hauling the cuttings away — and then comes back through the winter to plow the drives and clear the walks. Mesa mornings run cold and still, with frost sitting in the low rows long after the ridges above have warmed. Work here gets measured in whole properties rather than square feet, and the finish is a place that looks looked-after from the road. That is a good thing to hand somebody back at the end of a day.
