Placerville was named for the gold that miners once washed from the gravels of the San Miguel River, and the canyon still glows with red sandstone cliffs above the cottonwoods lining the water. Fall Creek Gardens brings garden and lawn care to this narrow, sun-warmed stretch of the valley, where yards sit tucked between rock walls and moving river.
