About GEM LANDSCAPING AND CONSTRUCTION LLC.

Piedra takes its name from the Spanish word for stone, and the country along the Piedra River lives up to it, with rocky ledges, tall ponderosa and meadows that green up under the summer monsoon rains. GEM Landscaping and Construction LLC brings lawn care and landscape work to properties in this quiet corner of the San Juan foothills. A yard here has to hold its own against pine needles, rocky soil and a growing season that starts late and ends early. The work turns that challenge into something handsome: grass mowed and trimmed, beds cleared, and the space near the house looking at ease among the trees. On a late August evening, with the river running low and slanting light warming the pine bark to copper, it is a fine place to arrive at the end of a day.
