THE YARD GUYS

About THE YARD GUYS

First light over Parker comes in thin and dry, and the grass along Sulphur Gulch holds its dew for maybe an hour before the sun takes it back. THE YARD GUYS work that hour — mowers running while the blades are still cool, edges cut clean along the walks in the neighborhoods off Mainstreet. At six thousand feet turf asks for patience: aeration that opens tight clay, feeding timed to the short green window between the last frost and the heat of August, weed control before the weeds get ideas. Straight stripes and a crisp edge are the whole point, and by mid-morning a yard reads finished from the curb. That is lawn care here — mowing, edging, trimming and feeding, week after week, for Parker and the towns around it.
