About Hoff's Landscape Contractors

Rueter-Hess sits west of town in a bowl of open ground, and the wind that comes off it in spring scours everything on Parker's west side — fences, gravel, lawns and all. Hoff's Landscape Contractors works into that wind: mowing, trimming, edging, and the spring and fall cleanups that gather up whatever it dropped in the yard. Landscape work in Douglas County is a long negotiation with dry air and sudden weather, and the answer is mostly persistence. Each visit ends with a property that looks composed again, edges defined, clippings gone. On a clear evening after all that blowing, the reservoir goes flat as glass and the town looks freshly swept.
