Water is the old story on this mesa — Surface Creek coming down off the Grand Mesa, ditches running full through July, everything green because somebody opened a gate. S&E Ward's Landscape Management Inc works with that green through the warm months, mowing, edging and keeping properties trim across the little towns strung along the creek. When storms slide down off the Mesa the job flips over to plowing and clearing walks, often while it is still dark and still falling.
