The San Juans take their first white sometime in October, and Olathe reads it like a calendar: the year is turning over. Sulls Company LLC works both halves of that year — mowing, trimming and cleanups while the valley is green, then plowing and clearing walks once storms drop down off the high country. Snow here can be wet and heavy one week and dry as sugar the next, and both kinds have to be off the drive by morning. There is a plain pride in pulling up to a property before anyone is stirring and leaving it open and safe. Come April the mower comes out again and the whole circuit begins over.
