By high summer the fields around Olathe run in long green rows, and the whole valley seems to be growing something. High Country Turf Care keeps the smaller squares of green — front lawns, side yards, the strip out by the mailbox — mown and trimmed to the same tidy standard the farm ground sets. Work starts early here, ahead of the Uncompahgre Valley heat, and a lawn cut at that hour holds its stripe until evening. Edges get their own attention, because a straight edge is what makes a yard look finished rather than merely shortened. It is grass, plainly, but grass kept even changes the entire front of a house.
