About Roots Arise Tree Service

Nederland keeps its own weather. Wind pours off the Continental Divide, combs the lodgepole above Barker Reservoir, and sooner or later something gives — which is when Roots Arise Tree Service tends to get the call. Storm damage cleanup here means a driveway under half a pine and a road that has to be open by morning; tree removal means the leaning trunk that has run out of good options. Pruning at 8,200 feet is a negotiation with the wind: open a crown enough to let a gale slip through, leave enough to hold the hillside together. In summer they trim along the Peak to Peak and the smell of warm sap rides home in the truck. The result is plain and worth having — a clear drive, a tended yard, a stand of pines with room to breathe.
