Dirty Woman Creek Park carries one of the better names on the Front Range, and in October it carries the color to match — scrub oak gone rust, aspen gold up the draws, the grass holding on a few more weeks. Lavish Lawns lives on both sides of that turn. Through the warm months it is mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups; once the first real storm comes over the Divide it is plowing drives, clearing walks and treating the ice that forms in the shade and never quite leaves. The switch takes about a night. What stays the same is the finish — a lawn cut evenly to its borders, a driveway pushed wide and scraped clean. Monument, Palmer Lake and Woodmoor get both halves of the year.
