East of town, Monument runs up against the Black Forest, and lawns out there live in a standing negotiation with ponderosa pine — shade in moving patches, needles falling all year, roots that got to the ground first. Bare Root Landscape works that negotiation instead of fighting it, mowing to suit the light a yard actually gets and keeping the turf clear of what the trees keep dropping. Trimming and edging give the grass a defined shoulder against gravel, bark and stone. Cleanups in spring and again in fall are the two hinges the whole year swings on.
