About Compadres Landscaping

By two in the afternoon in late August the thunderheads have built over the San Juans, and everybody in Montrose works with one eye south. Compadres Landscaping keeps moving under that sky, mowing, string trimming, edging and clearing, a yard finished before the first drops come off the ridge. Working a long block has its own cadence and the crew falls into it: cut, trim, edge, blow, gone. What stays behind is a sharp line where the grass meets the concrete and nothing scattered in the street. That is the part worth being proud of.
