Storms roll into the upper Eagle valley on a west wind and hang up on Battle Mountain, and by dark Minturn can be under a heavy, quiet foot of new snow. Snow King Enterprise plows through it — driveways, lots and access roads, walks shoveled and cleared, everything opened again after the plow train comes down US 24. When the valley thaws out, the same hands turn to mowing, trimming and edging the small green yards tucked between the river and the hillside. Both jobs come down to the same thing: leaving a place looking handled. Minturn, Red Cliff, Avon and the nearby Eagle County communities are all within range.
