The Highland Handyman

About The Highland Handyman

Mancos Main Street keeps its lamplight through the winter — storefronts and gallery windows glowing against blue snow, Menefee Mountain a dark shape at the end of the block. The Highland Handyman keeps that street and the houses around it walkable, shoveling walks and steps, plowing drives, and breaking up the packed berm that the plow leaves across the end of everything. Small-town snow work is mostly about access: a door that opens, a stoop nobody slips on, a car that can make it out to Highway 160. The ice gets treated, the corners get cleared, the piles go where they won't be in the way come Thursday. Do it right and nobody notices, which is exactly the point.
