LID Landscapes

About LID Landscapes

Winter dusk on the Lyons road turns everything the color of slate, and the snow lies in long fingers where the wind has drawn them across the shoulder. LID Landscapes works properties out along that western edge of Longmont and in town, plowing driveways, opening walkways and gates, and treating the ice that gathers where the low sun never reaches. Closer to the foothills a storm can drop more than the flats and hold it twice as long, so the clearing goes deep and wide rather than just wide enough. Steps, entries and turnarounds get the shovel, because that is where winter actually reaches a person. Headlights on a fully cleared drive at the end of a dark day is the shape of a job finished.
