Omni Landscape

About Omni Landscape

West of town the Dakota Hogback stands up out of the grass like a long stone wall, and in October the last hour of daylight turns its face the color of a struck match. Omni Landscape does its rounds under that light — the mower slowing, the season winding down, leaves coming off the ash trees in handfuls whenever the wind rolls in off the foothills. The work runs from routine mowing and edging through trimming and the big autumn cleanups that get a yard ready to sleep. Doing it right means the beds are cleared, the turf is cut even to the last strip along the fence, and nothing is left drifting into the gutter. When the sun drops behind the ridge and the yard is finished, the property looks composed, which is the point of all of it.
