About Climbers Choice Tree Care

The High Line Canal threads through Greenwood Village under cottonwoods that were old before the streets were laid. Climbers Choice Tree Care goes up into those canopies on rope — clearing dead wood out of the high interior, trimming limbs that have gotten out over a roofline, and bringing a whole tree down in pieces when its time has come. On a June morning the canal path is all dapple and birdsong, and a handsaw eighty feet up is the loudest thing for a block. After a windy night there is other work: pulling down what is hung up, making a split leader sound again, giving a driveway back to the people who park in it. What the ground sees at the end is a tree that still looks like itself, only lighter.
