About Cloud City Arborist, Inc.

At two miles up, trees do not hurry. Leadville's spruce and lodgepole put on a slow year's growth beneath Mount Massive and Mount Elbert, and a pruning wound closes on a timeline that has nothing to do with anyone's calendar. Cloud City Arborist, Inc. works with that rather than against it — pruning in the narrow stretch when the ground allows it, studying needle color and bark for trouble that starts long before a tree looks sick, and removing dead timber standing near roofs and drives. Snow can fall here in June, and the wind off the Sawatch has all winter to lean on a crown. Everything gets read closely and cut slowly, because a tree this high up is not easily replaced.
