Bear Creek comes down out of the canyon, spreads into its lake at the south end of Lakewood, and drags a ribbon of cottonwood shade through neighborhoods that would otherwise be all sun. Rocky Mountain Lawns cuts grass in that shade and out in the open both — mowing, edging along the walks, trimming wherever the mower runs out of room. A Saturday-morning cut, with the mountains still holding night on their east faces, is about as good as this job gets. Cleanups come once the ground thaws and again when the leaves drop, and the clippings leave with the crew. What stays behind is a lawn with clean lines and nothing out of place.
