About Laird and Son Services, LLC

At Laird, near Colorado's eastern edge, winter wind crosses the Nebraska line with nothing to slow it down and banks drifts hard against barns and windbreaks. Laird and Son Services, LLC takes on snow removal in this small Yuma County community, digging out drives and lanes so trucks and school mornings can get moving. Highway 34 runs east and west here like a lifeline, and getting from the farmyard to that blacktop matters when temperatures sit in the single digits. Below, the North Fork of the Republican River winds through its valley, its banks hushed under white. When a ground blizzard finally quits and the drifts go blue in the dusk, there is honest pride in looking back on a property dug out lane by lane.
